Two new performance bikes taken from local Nutrition House stores without payment

OTTAWA. Two customers of local Ottawa Nutrition House stores will each be one bike richer July 10 and July 11, 2009. They will be the winners of the activ-x Bike Giveaway contest, held in Nutrition House, St. Laurent Shopping Centre and Nutrition House, Carlingwood Mall, sponsored by Platinum Naturals.

The Norco Performance Bikes, donated by Platinum Naturals, are being given away as part of Platinum's national campaign to promote the safe use of nutritional supplements as part of a healthy, active lifestyle. Platinum Naturals is a Canadian supplement company and the only Canadian company to have their multivitamin, activ-x, certified as Safe for Sport and guaranteed free of banned substances by the internationally recognized NSF International testing labs.

activ-x is the official multivitamin of the Canadian Ski Cross team. David Ellis, High Performance Director for the Ski Cross team says "When you're up against the best in the world you're looking for every advantage you can get. activ-x helps us to train longer and harder. It reduces recovery time and can even help us to prevent injuries. Those are the kinds of advantages we need to squeeze out that extra performance that can make all the difference in international competition. And of course, the fact that it's certified clean is absolutely priceless. We have to focus on our performance with confidence and activ-x lets us do that."

The bikes will be presented in ceremonies at 12 pm, July 10 in the Nutrition House St. Laurent and 12 pm July 11 at Nutrition House, Carlingwood. Refreshments will be served and in store demonstrations will be running from 11 am until 3 pm in each location.
