How does OST improve absorption?

Studies have shown that oils can improve absorption of various nutrients, including nutrients that are not fat soluble, i.e. calcium. Since the cells are made of layers of lipid (fat) and oils naturally pass through these cell walls, Platinum Naturals suspends all nutrients in omega oils to facilitate absorption. In order to illustrate this point consider the problem that arose when the oils in sunscreens carried the harsh chemical deet, the active ingredient in insect repellant, into the body. This resulted in the health authorities recommending that insect repellant be applied at least 30 – 45 minutes after applying sunscreen.

Guaranteed Potency

OST^® also improves the shelf life of the active ingredients. Oxygen and moisture are known to be two of the main causes in the destruction of the active ingredients in supplements. The omega oils in OST^® act as a barrier, protecting the active ingredient from oxygen and moisture.
